Carol’s retreat was a true gift. Her guidance on and off the yoga mat was calm, patient, and full of knowledge and wisdom. The wooded setting is a perfect location to reset and refresh. This retreat was life changing for me! Carol is an amazing host who took amazing care of us mentally and physically. The peaceful woods of the property and the beautiful lake up the street, mixed with powerful yoga throughout the weekend make this retreat a must!

My yoga retreat with Carol in Puerto Rico was a gift ! It was a meditative retreat, but it was also an immersive adventure that included a lot of exploring, hiking and snorkeling.
Carol is a gem of a soul, a gifted and dynamic yoga instructor, and a spiritual role model. She incorporated various styles of yoga into our sessions based on the other experiences we were having that day. This also included appropriate music selections during the sessions, breath work, and evening meditations.
Carol applies her thorough knowledge of nutrition and her adventurous spirit to create a holistic and culturally immersive experience that leaves you feeling completely energized and peaceful. Not only did I finish the retreat feeling very positive about my yoga practice and health, but I felt that we really took advantage of the natural environment and cultural elements around us.
I look forward to doing more retreats with Carol in Puerto Rico and in East Tawas, Michigan in the future!

The weekend spent at Tawas Pointe in the Woods Yoga Retreat was relaxing, enjoyable, delicious, and overall nourishing for my body, mind and spirit. Carol is an amazing host and yoga instructor! She thoughtfully and skillfully provided delicious meals and snacks, all while accommodating dietary restrictions and preferences. The yoga was just what my body needed before kiteboarding. And the setting in the woods is absolutely perfect with amazing beauty all around! What a great retreat!

It was a wonderful experience to stay two nights at the yoga retreat/lodge. The property is magical, we discovered 3 different types of moss, walked in a bog, balanced on logs, and seen wildlife. The smell of fresh air and pine cleared my head. The lodge is welcoming with a perfect host. Yoga gave me a chance to reset my emotions. Healthy and delicious food. Perfect nature getaway with hidden gems to discover within and beyond. Found that Lake Huron and East Tawas is a must see.

I just returned from two nights at the Tawas Pointe Yoga retreat and it was amazing! Carol is a warm, welcoming host and veteran yoga instructor. I had never done yoga previously and she worked with me to make my first time a success. Her evening meditations help me get good quality sleep. The food was delicious! I stopped on the way home to get ingredients to replicate Carol’s delicious, healthy morning smoothy. The setting is so tranquil you can’t help but relax. The property was beautiful for hiking and provided a dark park like setting for star gazing. It was a relaxing weekend. If you are looking to unwind while also enjoying fun activities, this is the place. On my drive home I knew something felt different. I thought about it for a moment and realized there was no tension in my shoulders or back! Thank you, Carol! Already planning my next visit.

I had a fabulous weekend at this yoga retreat! We did yoga, meditation, a meditative hike and kiteboarding as the hostess is also a Kiter! The food was nutritious and delicious, the space calming and tranquil and Carol was a magnificent host and yoga instructor. I appreciated her flexibility with activities to cater to her guests (Kiters) and their physical and emotional needs. I can’t recommend this retreat highly enough and will be back! Namaste.
